Heroes of the Storm, released June 2, 2015, is a free to play crossover multiplayer online battle arena starring your favorite characters from Blizzard’s epic franchises brought together to fight for ultimate control of the Nexus on various battlegrounds for each of the core titles.

When Heroes of the Storm was first announced Blizzard tried to spread the word in all directions. A special limited number of packages were sold at retail to spark excitement.

What’s the Name Again?

As the game was in development, logo exploration went in many different directions. Working with an evolving title and a shifting creative vision was a challenge but a great opportunity to explore looks outside of the Blizzard norm. These are a few ideas that I explored.

Heroes of the Dorm

An annual eSports tournament where college students from various universities compete for scholarships and high-end PC’s. The logos on the right are some of my earlier comps and the logo on the left is my final.

Heroes of the Dorm Finals took place at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles CA on April 26, 2018 and was a great opportunity to partner with ESPN who hosted the event on their network. Here are a few examples of both online banners & event signage I created for the tournament.
